Advanced Rocket Technologies Conducts Static Fire of Oman’s First Commercial Solid Rocket Motor

Space launch developer Advanced Rocket Technologies, in collaboration with Aqtar Space Technologies, successfully executed the first static fire test of Oman’s first commercially built solid rocket motor on July 21, 2026, at 6:48 AM local time.

The successful static test firing represents a major milestone for Oman’s emerging space infrastructure and commercial propulsion manufacturing capabilities. Designed and assembled in-country, the solid rocket motor provides the foundational propulsion technology intended to power upcoming suborbital test vehicles and domestic launch systems.

The joint effort between Advanced Rocket Technologies and local partner Aqtar Space Technologies highlights expanding aerospace engineering operations within the Sultanate. The test outcome validates core motor design parameters, structural casing integrity, and internal propellant burn stability, clearing the path for integrated vehicle integration and subsequent flight testing from domestic launch facilities like the Etlaq Spaceport.
