CST Hosts “Investment in SpaceTech – The Next Big Thing” Workshop to Boost the Kingdom’s Space Investment Landscape

The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST), in partnership with the Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, hosted a workshop titled “Investment in SpaceTech – The Next Big Thing” at CODE.

The event is part of a broader series of specialized workshops designed for venture capitalists and business angels interested in exploring investment opportunities across the SpaceTech ecosystem.

The workshop opened with welcoming remarks from the Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, followed by a keynote address from Mr. Frank M. Salzgeber, Acting Deputy Governor of the Space Sector at CST. He highlighted the immense potential of space technologies as a core engine for DeepTech innovation and dual-use applications.

Mr. Wojtek Walniczek, Partner at OTB Ventures and a leading SpaceTech investor, delivered a keynote session focusing on emerging business models within the global space economy. He also shared insights on funding trends and the growing international opportunities available for investors and entrepreneurs. Additionally, he reflected on global best practices in building investment ecosystems that accelerate space innovation.

The workshop concluded with a networking session that connected investors, startups, and ecosystem stakeholders—creating space for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and future partnerships.

This workshop is part of CST’s ongoing efforts to build a vibrant investment environment in the space sector and support the growth of innovative startups, fully aligned with the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
