Dubai-Based Geospatial Startup Stellaria Secures AED 25 Million Seed Funding

Dubai-based artificial intelligence and geospatial intelligence firm Stellaria has raised AED 25 million ($6.8 million) in a seed funding round backed by a syndicate of angel investors. The investment values the company at AED 420 million ($114.4 million).

Formerly operating as Farmin, the startup graduated from the Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund accelerator program before rebranding to Stellaria. The newly secured capital will support the company’s next expansion phase, focusing on scaling its core technology platform, increasing engineering headcount, and driving market rollout across regional and international sectors.

Stellaria’s flagship product, the Stella platform, serves as an operating system designed to transform vast feeds of Earth observation and satellite data into actionable operational insights. By combining satellite imagery, computer vision algorithms, and automated analytical workflows, the platform enables real-time monitoring and threat assessment across physical environments.

The platform provides specialised analytical tools including automated target recognition, image resolution enhancement, maritime intelligence, satellite-derived bathymetry, and environmental monitoring. These capabilities cater to primary client bases in defense, government operations, maritime logistics, infrastructure management, and sustainability tracking.

According to leadership, the funding marks a critical milestone in transitioning the business into an integrated enterprise platform while advancing local software development within the United Arab Emirates’ expanding space and artificial intelligence ecosystem.
