SES, a global leader in satellite-based connectivity solutions, has signed a MoU with Aramco, a prominent integrated energy company, to explore collaboration opportunities. The aim is to leverage high-performance MEO satellite connectivity services to accelerate Aramco’s digital transformation goals, particularly with 5G backhauling for remote sites in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.



The MoU signing, announced by Adel Al Doulab, Vice President of Information Technology Infrastructure at Aramco, and Nick Roullier, Vice President of Middle East & Central Asia at SES, took place during LEAP 2024. This collaboration marks a pivotal step in digitalizing the operations of the energy industry, showcasing a commitment to innovation and technological advancement.
